​Synaesthesia creates a response to your entire environment through a personal experience of color in relation to your senses. Emily’s work as an artist controls, restricts or releases her frustrations through the creation of lines and shapes with color. This is produced via thought process and normally separated from the physical flesh.

We are extending this into a space which will be affected the presence of a body. This, in turn, provokes movement from the audience that is dependant and in response to how the space has been manipulated through colour.

It is a physically manifested and exaggerated experience of how a synesthete will assess and respond to their environment.

Their perception is an internal processing of what immersive performers try to recreate through synaesthetic, visceral performance.
